Dear Mark,today is a very sad day for us,yesterday we had to put our beautiful sheppard,candy,to sleep.Six weeks ago she was diaganosed with lymphoma.We did everything possible.We are heartbroken.Thanks,

Although Mark Levin is known as a constitutional lawyer and a nationally syndicated broadcaster, he is, first and foremost, a dog lover. In 1998, he and his family welcomed a half-Border Collie/half-Cocker Spaniel they named Pepsi into their lives. Six years later, his wife and son persuaded him to adopt a dog from the local shelter, a Spaniel mix. It turned out he was older than originally thought, and he was the most beautiful dog they'd ever seen. They named him Sprite.

R.B., L.B. & Molly
I have recently read your book, Rescuing Sprite, and could initmately relate to what you went through w/ the life and care of Sprite. To the end we did what we could for his health but ultimately had to make the decision to put him down because he was suffering too much. “R.B.” (Regal Basset) is buried in our back yard (I call it R.B’s place). We loved him, cared for him and he left us too soon at the age of 6. I put together an extensive Scrapbook on his life and it literally is the most expensive item I own. It will go with me in a fire. I have 2 basset hounds named L.B. (Little Basset) and an adopted one named Molly. She brought L.B.’s heart back to life physically and emotionally after R.B. died.
Thank you for writing a book that perfectly expressed what I felt about R.B. and his life and untimely passing.

Sprite was an amazing and pretty inteligent dog, Mark, i know that you will never forgive him well me neither.
I passed from the same think as you, Mark, i had a dog named Nikki he was 16 years and he left me this year, he died of a cancer. My mother was really bad when he passed away, so was i. I know what you felt because i felt exacly the same. I love dogs and i grew up with them. Oh i had too a dog named Pantufa and he left to, i mean, we lost him. My mum and i looked up from him like in everyhere but nothing :-( oh how i miss my doggies
now i have a new one, but this time female, her name is Pucca she is only one year and my mother bougth her from the kennel.

she is so beautiful and smart, she is funny because she´s always kissing me and my family. She protectes me too.
By the way i will presenting your book “Rescuing Sprite” on my portuguese class
i will talk about you and sprite oh and Pepsi too
i will not forget him

oh i want you to know too that i will always support your work, and i will never forget about Sprite and Pepsi. They will be always on my heart.

Guinness
My roommate and I rescued a border collie/retriever puppy about 3 years ago from a shelter out here in L.I, N.Y., and although my dog Guinness was still riddled with flees and required another emergency surgery, since she had an allergic reaction to the stitches from her neutering at the shelter–we have never looked back or had a single regretful moment with her. She is more human and than many of my very own family members and beautiful friend. I have since moved on and went a separate way with my life, unfortunately, yet my roommate still has Guinness and I still pay visits to see her and she has never lost that look that she gives me when she sees me. She has never forgotten me and loves me as she did when I was her daily owner. I miss her more than any person that I have ever lost in my life. If I ever had a chance to own another dog, I would choose a collie or lab/retriever. I recently received Mark’s book as a birthday gift since I own his others but this one particular book written about Sprite, had me in tears and yet ave me such uplifting experience that very few stories have EVER done in my life and I was totally in awe until the end of the novel. It felt great to know that I wasn’t alone in my feelings for my Guinness.

My children have been wanting a dog for some time. We recently had an opportunity to get a couple of Chihuahua puppies and the children were very excited! Unfortunately, the puppies were still-born. So we visited the Dallas Animal Shelter Adoption center. Wow! I had no idea just what a nice facility this was. The dog selection was terrific. We found Pepe, who is a Chi-corgi. Pepe is everything we wanted and more — so far, not one accident in the house.

Norman
Norman was lost yesterday in a tragic accident, 3 days before his 2nd b-day. Only other dog lovers can empathize – part of us has been suddenly and severely removed. His love was unconditional. What more could one ask? His biggest love was fetching. He would chase a ball until you could not throw anymore. And then go find someone else who could! He was a special kind of best friend and is sorely missed. Good bye, Norman. Rest well.
