Six Wonderful Dogs

I just finished your book. We have 6 dogs. I took them all outside and REALLY looked at each one of them grazing in the yard. I will forever look at these dogs differently because of what you wrote. The time here will be so short and your book really made me see this. I plan to plant a tree before we lose each one and take a picture with them and their tree. I feel it will make a great memory. Thanks to you for changing my day with my dogs!!!!

Purdi

Your book caught my eye, as i had to put my purdi to sleep just three days before. I had her for 10 years, and i still struggle with the gaping hole in my chest. but wouldnt trade those 10 yrs for anything!

King, Riggs

Mr. Levin,

I just finished reading your book rescuing Sprite, and I cried and I laughed. Thank you for sharing your story. When I was in first grade My parents bought me a German Shepherd for Valentine’s Day. I named him King. He was my brother, constant companion, and best friend. He loved car rides, long walks, playing with tennis balls, and just spending time with his family. Sadly on Feb. 13th 2004, when I was 19 and in my sophomore year of college my beloved King passed away. I was devastated because it would have been 13 years together. I was sad and angry that he left me before our special day. My mom said he chose the day befoire our special day because he would only want me to remember our happy times on Valentine’s and not have it be a sad day. I think about him everyday. In my grief I was very lonely and missed my friend. After some time an ad in the newspaper caught my eye; and a few weeks later a little German Shepherd puppy came in to my life, his name is RIggs. Thank you again for sharing your heart warming story. I am sure that King and Sprite are playing in heaven. God Bless.

Sincerely,
Mary from PA

WE MADE A CONNECTION RIGHT THEN. HE IS 7 NOW AND JUST AS LOYAL AS CAN BE. I THANK GOD FOR THIS FUR BALL. AND HE IS SMARTER THAN A LIB TOO!

Crickett, Blackie and Greystone

Hey Mark,
I”am the one that has written to
you about our sweet yorkee
“Crickett”..
But this story is about some
rescued Cats.. Came about the same time we said bye to Crickett.
We live out in suburbs and people just drop off cats. So i leave food outside..We had one big fat spoty cat they came
and ate sat in the sunshine. He brought a female cat a Russian Blue she had kittens and we got homes for them..She has stayed
with us we tk her to the Vet for shots and no more kittens..She was very protective and a guard cat she would growl at stranger. Well this past fall another poor black cat came through the yard and started eating we tk care of him he was in terrible condition bare spots on his body and mouth was deformed.. But he is now healthy and happy .He Blackie and Greystone have made friends…Every night we put them in the garage and this winter bought them both igloo houses to sleep
in they both crawl into one
igloo and sleep together.
They stay out during warm
days and at night run to the
garage..They are both sweet and company..
Yet, they are not like our Crickett..
Love Listen to you every night
at bed time
