Bala

Bala, my Border Collie was with me for 15 wonderful years. She died in my arms on her 15th birthday. That was 3 1/2 years ago and I can still start crying thinking about it. The unconditional love and unfailing support she gave me will be with me until the day I die. Rest in Peace, old friend. I have tears in my eyes now thinking of the day we’ll see each other again in Heaven.

Chewy

Chewy (our dog) was probably the best Christmas presant ever. When we locked eyes I knew that we would be great friends. She was never around men so we thought she wouldn’t be comfortable with my dad but now she and my dad get along just fine. When shes lonly and you look out the door window you will always see the beautiful, big brown eyes stareing right back at you

Sadie

We got our dog from some friends who couldn’t take care of her anymore. Her name was Sadie. She was the best behaved dog ever. We had to put her down on 9/11 (go figure).

Carolina

Hello everyone, I would like to tell you about my sweet dog, Carolina. I found Carolina 4 years ago off Interstate 95 in North Carolina. We were on our way back to New York from my brothers house and stopped at a rest area to use the bathroom. Just as we were leaving this skinny little thing walked in front of our truck. We got out and she came right over to us. She was hungry and visably worn, and her ear was torn as well. To make a long story short we got a new pet that day and Carolina became a New Yorker. She required a lot of medical care uncluding heartworm treatments. But in a few months she was as good as new. Carolina was the sweetest dog in the world. Everyone who met her loved her. All she wanted to do was relax and enjoy the good life. Sadlythough in early September Carolina passed away from Canine Lymphoma. It happened so fast and I still can’t believe she is gone. We only had her for four years but the joy she brought our family will last a life time. We are grateful that we had the opportunity to make the last few years of her life peaceful and happy. After years of being on the streets she got to know the love of being part of a family. Carolina will be in our hearts forever and I like to say that God now has the greatest pet. We love you Carolina.

Stormy

This is Stormy after his surgery. He didn’t like the collar, so we put him in a t-shirt. He loved to sit on the couch just like that – feet on the floor, and hind end on the cushion. We had to put Stormy down on Christmas eve 2006. He was 14 and we had him for 7 years after adopting him through a Labrador Rescue organization.
