Millie

Millie, our blue merle Great Dane, has a tendency to help herslef to items left at eye level. Her eye level. The other day my wife, Jessica, was making cheese biscuits on the kitchen counter. She stepped out of the kitchen for about 30 seconds and when she returned, Millie was blocking her way to the kitchen…something she’s never seen before. It took her a second to realize we were missing 6 biscuits from the baking sheet left on the counter. Funny thing is a big plate of bacon was right next to the biscuits. I’m sure the raw cheese and buttermilk set well in her stomach that night. Stay tuned for next week’s story: “Where O where hath our tri-tip gone”?

Milhouse

My family has been considering adding a puppy to the family for some time. After listening to your show daily, we decided to look for our puppy at a local animal rescue shelter where a nice little Sharpei mix boy decided he liked all of us. We completed the necessary adoption paperwork and broght him home last weekend.
We named our newpuppy \’Milhouse\’ to be certain that there would be no embarassment or negativity regarding his name. He has been a fantastic addition to our family which now has 2 adults, 3 sons, 3 cats and a puppy.

Roach

Hello,i am so thankful for Dr.Levins book Rescuing Sprite. It has given me much encouragement especially recently as i had a beautiful rescued half pit half black lab that had to be put to sleep just yesterday.I feel like i let the dog down as i was unable to help with his aggression issues.
Many thanks Dr. Levin for sharing your anguish and joy that your dog brought to you and your family.I feel so stupid being so upset although i know there are other dog lovers out there who understand.I wish i knew how to submit my dogs picture however i am new to computers and dont know how yet.He was a beautiful dog.His name was Roach.

Major

Mark,

I just finished reading Rescuing Sprite and I have to thank you for sharing that.  I know how difficult it must have been for you losing Sprite as my husband and I lost our dear Doberman (Major) in June of 08.  I am still having a very difficult time with it and like you I thought there was something wrong with me for feeling such sorrow.   I don\’t feel comfortable talking about it to people because I just don\’t think they really know the feeling unless they have been through it themselves.  I am hoping that someday I will again own another doberman.  Right now my husband isn\’t ready for another  one as Major was very attached to my husband.  I just miss the big guy so much.  As I am typing this I am sitting here crying.  I am so thankful that we did have 11 wonderful years with him.

Thank you again for sharing and for letting me feel that I am not nuts for feeling the way I do.

My computer skills are not very good and I would love to share a picture of my Major with you, would it be possible to send it to you via e-mail along with the e-mail I sent out to our family and friends the day we lost our Maj.

Thank you so much.
