A most heroic act preformed by my sister without a thought of her own safety showed me the special bond of a person and their pet. As her family was vacationing at a park that had a stream running through it, my nephews were throwing a stick into the stream and their dog, an Old English Bulldog (Waldo) would fetch it and bring it back.
After throwing the stick Waldo jumped in and sunk to the bottom of the stream. Panicked, the boys ran and got their mom. Not knowing how to swim or the depth of the stream she selflessly jumped in the water where the boys thought he might be. The water was up to her chin. Luckily she landed on the dog. She was able to lift Waldo to the shore where she found that he was not breathing.
She started CPR on the dog and after about two to three min. the dog let out a big belch and started breathing on his own. After after a few days Waldo was back to his old lovable self. My aunt asked my sister if it bothered her blowing down that \”ugly dogs\”mouth. Without a thought she replied \”I would have blown up the other end if I thought it would help\”.
What a wonderful person you are sis.

To “The Great One”,
This is a picture of my wonderful daughter and my loyal Rott. Dingo mix. They were both small here. Now my daughter is fifteen and my dog is thirteen. He has been a wonderful addition to our family, the best dog one could ever want.
He isn’t getting around to good now days, he has bad hips, he is missing a few teeth, but he still acts like a puppy in a old dogs body.
It is going to be a hard day when he passes. I know it is approaching quick. He will be greatly missed by me and my family and forever loved.

I have enjoyed readimng “Rescuing Sprite”, although it did take me awhile to read it, as I get too emotional where animals are concerned. I have three Pomeranians, two we bought from breeders, and the third is a rescue. The rescue is the smartest, most loveable dog ever, it seems as if he knows, and is ever grateful that he has a permanent home.
We love them all and will have them until the end of their natural lives.
Regards,
Jeanne from OR

Meet Kato Kalin, the house guest that wouldn’t leave. Kato appeared in our yard, laying in the sprinkler on a hot August day in 1994, hence the O.J. case name.. She had a collar, but no tags, so we posted photos all around our neighborhood, hoping the owner would see them. Within one day every photo had disappeared. Kato was with us for the next 13 years. A better friend my wife and I never had, and we miss her terribly, and we are better people for having had her with us. If only people were as good as doge, this would be a wonderful world.

We lost the most special dog I have ever known “Fluffy”. She was the mother to every one in the house Cats Dogs and Birds. She loved everyone and I miss her terribly.
