Piper, Conner, Walter

Mark, your spot-on plitical views are only surpassed by your spot-on love of our dog friends. I’ve attached a picture of my little girl, Piper, a Skye terrier age 11. Piper has spent the past 3 yrs fighting cancer in her neck. More surgeries and $$ than we can count have kept her here with us and she just keeps going -better than the Energizer bunny. Her spirit and joy are dumb founding.

Almost 6 mths ago she was diagnosed with a tumor finally inoperable. Since then both sides of her neck have developed tumors on top of tumors so that it feels like a sock stuffed with golfballs. We know her time is short but she just keeps going. Every night my wife Sherrie and I get Piper, her half-brother Conner (a black Skye), and our Wheaten terrier, Walter, together for their dinner. Piper has her boned rotisserie chicken (sometimes shares with her brothers) then doggie treats. Every night is party as we celebrate another day with Piper. Thanks Mark!

Sandy

Rescuing Sprite is one of the most beautiful and heart wrenching books I have ever read. Being the dog lover that I am this book was very hard to read since I lost my beloved cocker spaniel, Sandy, just 8 months ago. Mr.Levin writes with such honesty of his heartache and love for Sprite that I felt he was speaking for me about my feelings for Sandy. I am still grieving and probably always will be to some extent. Thank you for sharing your wonderful story,

Jonesy and Bowie

Hi Mark, I beleive someday you will be reunited with Sprite. The universe is full of unknown experienses. The goodness in your heart will lead you to him again someday. I am a medical courier. I pick up medial specimens from veterinary clinics. Through the course of my travels I have collected two great friends, Jonesy and Bowie. Two abandoned cats I found on the door steps of clinics .

I don\’t know what kind of person I would be without my friends. I have been enriched by the experience of friendship with animals. Mark, your love of animals is a gift to animals. Your love of the American people is a gift to the American people. Yours Irish/American,

It Brings Tears

Dear Mark…
I’m reading your book aloud with my son for homeschool. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve found myself sobbing as I read my portion. You have a way of expressing how we all feel about our dogs. Tomorrow we’re reading the chapter where Sprite is put to sleep. I hope I can make it through the chapter. What a beautiful dog Sprite was. Thank you for sharing your heart.
God bless you, Sir.
