I loved my Lollii (Lollipop), a cockapoo who lived to 19 yrs. and probably one year too long.
She was given to my wife who accepted her without consulting me.
She was my dog and went with me everywhere, upstairs and down, bathroom or basement. She only had complete top of bed rights for her last two years. Before that, she always snuggled up to me and when she heard my wife\’s footsteps on the stairs, she would scoot
under the bed.
I could not get through the bad part of Mark\’s story of Sprite. When Lolli was blind, deaf and incontinent I could not put it off any longer. I made the appointment with the vet. On that day the children came home to say goodbye and as we were preparing to leave, I was paged. I had an appointment that I had not written in my book. My wife said that what was meant to be so they took Lolli to the vet without me.

We moved to DC from Denver and had to leave the girls with some new found friends. We still have visitation rights but we miss them. Reagan (After Ronnie) and Willoughby are very good little girls.

Dear Mark,
Four weeks ago, on Good Friday, we put our 13 yr. 9 month old Black Lab to sleep. Our friends gave us your book of which I just finished. Thank you for expressing yourself with such overwhelming passion.
We miss him terribly. There is a whole language missing in our home now that he’s gone. I actually thought I was going nuts with regards to how I still feel about our loss. I miss him, his old face, his soft brown eyes, his smell and the way he laid at my feet while I prepared dinner. You stated in your book that you felt you executed your dog, that’s just the way I feel. I will never forget the life leaving his eyes. It’s been a month and it still hurts, alot.
Thanks so much for a wonderful book, it truly has been a God send.
Take care,
Chris from WA
