Max

I adopted my first dog, a Black Lab, when someone abandoned him in a park and a lady brought him into the station house. He was tied to an arrest bench when I walked in and I fell in love with the dirty puppy of about 3 months old.  I had him 15 years and, when he passed, he did so in my arms as I laid on the floor with him near the wood burning stove one night.  Since then I have adopted all my dogs from the Seeing Eye. I take all their rejects; those who failed one or more phases of the training and I take German Shepherds as they are the most difficult to place.  Max, my 90 pound Shepherd, is laying on my feet as I write this.
