Although Mark Levin is known as a constitutional lawyer and a nationally syndicated broadcaster, he is, first and foremost, a dog lover. In 1998, he and his family welcomed a half-Border Collie/half-Cocker Spaniel they named Pepsi into their lives. Six years later, his wife and son persuaded him to adopt a dog from the local shelter, a Spaniel mix. It turned out he was older than originally thought, and he was the most beautiful dog they'd ever seen. They named him Sprite.

My dog choppie was an animal shelter dog we rescued as a puppie. She was a very loyal dog that went through a lot including a move across the country. She loved her hoe so much that even though she was eighteen years old (aprox in human years) she tried to protect the home from a bear. the bear attacked her and she had her back broken. I had to make the decision to put her down. I remember her last few moments. She looked into my eyes and looked so sad to have to go….

I am so sorry for your loss…I know the devistation of having to make that awful decision. We learn very quickly how strong we can be at times like that. Carol
