While our dog Bunni (who we had to have put down 1 1/2 years ago at the age of 16) loved to ride with us – anywhere – one great event we often talk about is how she disciplined me. One day, while my lovely wife and I were having a slightly heated discussion, Bunni jumped up on the couch (where I was sitting). She firmly planted her left leg on my leg, and then she proceeded to SLAP me in the face with an open right paw; then, she just stared at me for a few seconds as if to say “stop it, and stop it now!” Needless to say, my wife and I started laughing so hard that we forgot what we were arguing about. Bunni was the dog from heaven, the dog I always wanted: a bundle of love, loyalty, a great pal, and the family’s protector at all costs. She was an amazing animal that we will never forget. She was “daddy’s little girl”.
