Rosco
As a truck driver, my wife wanted a man around the house for protection. So she went to our local country run pound and found her man.
Rosco was a 3 year old American Rot and still had his tail. When she told me about him, the first thing I said was that if he didn’t let me in the house, he was history.
From the first day I met him, he became my dog. He was the best friend a guy could ask for. He was as gentle as a cat. We figure he was professionally trained since he was very very obedient. He followed me everywhere.
When our cat had her kittens, he was their toy once they were old enough to run around on their own. And the way he played with them, you could have sworn he was just an overgrown kitten himself.
5 years later he ended up with bloat and that took him away from me. He will always be my best friend and is remembered everyday.
The picture I added with this post is of him in his chair. When we tried to toss the old raggedy chair out, he became depressed until we brought back in the house and put it in the living room with us.
