My Dogs

My family has adopted shelter and street dogs ever since I was born (27 years ago). One particular dog was a stray Doberman that had escaped from a dog fighting ring.

She lived with us for 12 wonderful years and every person she met instantly fell in love with her and changed their biased opinion that Dobermans are mean dogs.

Sadly, two years ago I held her in my arms as we had to put her to sleep because of bone cancer.

Less than a week later we adopted another Doberman and more recently I adopted a Doberman/Chesapeake Bay Retriever (shelter) and love her greatly.

Reading your book was difficult but I\’d recommend it to everyone and it may be the most inspiring book ever written.
