Zoey
I would like to tell you about Zoey, our Golden Retreiver. We got her when she was 5 weeks old and she was with us almost 11 years.
She was a special dog to us and the neighborhood. She loved everybody and everybody loved her. She took walks with my wife almost every evening. Seeing her friends alnog the way. She seemed almost human. We did’nt train her to commands. Instead we talked to her like a person. She understood everything. We had to put her to sleep three days ago. It was the hardest thing we’ve ever done in our lives. She had cancer and her organs were shutting down. We could’nt stand to see her suffer. She went quietly and peacefully while we held her in our arms. I hope the afterlife is what I believe it is so we can finally be with her again.
