I read your book as soon as it came out. At the time I had two healthy cats and a new dog of only 6 months old. The book was hard to read at times, but I thanked God that I was not in this situation. Recently, however my cat, Sparky, was diagnosed with Lymphosarcoma, a cancer that is non-operable and terminal. He was given 1-2 months to live. It has been a month. He is not in pain and eats good. He does not have much energy. I am re-reading the book and I can tell you, It is a different story to me now. It has helpd me in so many different ways. It has helped me to see the true joy of sharing my life with my pets. I know the day will come when I will have to do the same as you, Mr Levin, I hope I can have the strenght to do it for my Sparky.
