Found this young little terrier pup running around the neighborhood on a cold, rainy October evening three years ago. I brought him in and dried him off and kept him overnight.

He had no tags and some folks were feeding him but didn’t claim him. Took him to the vet for shots, but also for special dipping due to scabs from fleas and ringworm. Had internal parasites but no heartworm. After neutering and dewclaw removal, the vet bills approached $1,000 but he is a joy — friendly to all, kids included, except cats and rabbits. A responsibility, but one gladly accepted.
